THANK YOU
Website Announcement

Wow! What an event! I still haven't come down from the high. You couldn't miss the smile on my face on Saturday-- a clear indication that one of my lifetime dreams had just come true. Over 600 show cars, over a thousand show spectators and countless Lake Shore Drive Kruze participants and fans and a year of planning made the Inaugural Chi-Town STA-BIL Kruze a roaring success!

I'd like to offer many heartfelt thanks on behalf of myself and the Chi-Town Kruze steering commitee to all of our sponsors: Gold Eagle's STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer, 104.3 WJMK radio, Chicagoland and NW Indiana Chevy Dealers, Turtle Wax, Napa Auto Parts, NTB, and Volo Auto Museum. You all put your faith in us to deliver a great event and based on what I saw, I believe we did just that.

I'd also like to thank Jim Law of the Mayor's Office of Special Events, John Botica for coordinating our Kruze Route, Ralph Concepcion and everyone at Ravenswood Events, Colleen Ryan for handling our PR, Celeste Mattern from C.Saw Marketing for getting all of our sponsors on board, and a big thank you to Mark Giangrecco of Channel 7 news for showing up and MC'ing the awards ceremony.

Thank you to Sal Cerone from Monster Boombox for pumping out some great music and handling all public annoucements.

I'd also like to thank all of our volunteers who worked so hard for nothing other than the enjoyment of being a part of "the start of something wonderful!"

Lastly I'd like to personally thank the members of the Chi-Town Kruze steering committee for donating their time, expertise, enthusiasm and "clout". Thanks for putting your faith in to our dream.

I knew that Chicago was a "car town" and the success of this event proves it in spades. Thank you to the people of Chicagoland for turning out and taking a chance on attending our event.

I'd also like to thank Mother Nature for providing such a beautiful day and waiting until the end of the show before unleashing your wrath.

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did putting this all together. It's amazing what people can accomplish when you combine their passions, experiences and dreams.

Keep on Kruzin'!! See you in '06!

Jerry Robbin, Chairman
Chi-Town Kruze Steering Committee
