Kruze Questions

What are the hours of the Kruze?

Vehicles may enter the Kruze between 8AM and 10AM on Saturday, May 31st.

What sort of vehicles may participate in the cruise?

The Chi-Town STA-BIL Kruze is open to all street legal vehicles!

Where do I line up for the Kruze?

Based on an overwhelming positive response, we are using the same Kruze route as last year. The three mile loop circuit starts at Buckingham Fountain and follows Columbus Drive to Roosevelt Road, turns right on Michigan Ave to Randolph Street, and then right again to Columbus Drive. This spectacular route takes you past many of Chicago's most treasured landmarks including The Art Institute, Millennium Park and Grant Park. Cars are encouraged to make multiple loops, driving clockwise from the fountain, before heading to the Soldier Field South Lot. Participants and spectators will be permitted to park on Columbus Drive between Jackson and Balbo in order to view the cars as they cruise.

Will there be spectators along the Kruze route?

Yes. Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park on Columbus between Jackson and Balbo is Show Center for the Chi Town STA-BIL Kruze! Cars will be lined up on both side of Columbus and the Kruzers will get a chance to slow down and strut their stuff! Also there will be great viewing areas on the east side of Michigan Ave. all the way between Roosevelt and Randolph.

Are there any other rules I should be aware of?

Yes! You must obey all traffic laws: no stopping, burn-outs or racing allowed.

Can visitors park at the Kruze and then go the Car Show at Soldier Field?

Yes. A shuttle bus will transport visitors from Buckingham Fountain to the Car Show at Soldier Field. Shuttle Busses will run from 9am until 3pm on show day.
